Westover farm cottages are within 1½ miles of the world renowned Jurassic Coast, in Dorset, providing stunning scenery for walking, be it a stroll, or a 50 mile hike. The West Dorset coast also offers one of the richest areas for fossil hunting in the world. See the world heritage coast website for further details.

The Monach's Way footpath follows the river valley down to Charmouth and the sea

WALKING MAP

West Dorset offers hundreds of walks, including the Southwest coastal path, which passes 1 mile from our cottages. Also there is the Liberty trail which commences at Lyme Regis and follows the route taken by the rebellious Duke of Monmouth and his army in 1685.  For more information on local walks you can visit the West Dorset Tourism website or local Ramblers Association.

The area is ideal for Dog walking but there are restrictions along some areas of Charmouth beach.  Full details are given on:
